My pots are a love note to the joy of working with clay and a passion for skateboarding. I create functional works that explore form and utility, while subtly referencing the urban environments I spend my time in as a skateboarder. I like to make pots that host a tactile experience, creating surfaces that look colorfully rough and dilapidated, but that are very welcoming and pleasant to hold. I am inspired by the things I see and feel as a skateboarder, like paint scratching off a board, rusted metal handrails, and even the feel of falling on rough or smooth concrete.
